Unsettled: P. Virginiana young & mature foliage

ID of the mature 'Virginia pines,' though so different in foliage appearance to the young Virginia pine trees, seens to lead to the conclusion that this is indeed the same species. P. sylvestris and some others are possibilities as well. I read that, in Perry county PA, there are five species' of pine: P. strobus, P. rigida, P. echinata, P. pungens, & P. virginiana. Whether this is even entirely true I have some doubt, but regardless, for various reasons (from first to last: five needles per bundle; three needles per bundle; seemingly wrong range but otherwise a contender; has different cones), I cannot help but conclude that it is indeed P. virginiana, with vastly different needles length, and more dense structure, and different color of foliage.
